Thermal Management

Digital Light Engines are designed and produced for optimal performance, lumen maintenance and life time. To protect the light engine against heat related failures and to achieve maximum life expectancy, please use the proper heat sink and air ventilation when using the light source or when incorporating it into your final application. When attaching the light engine on the heat sink, please use the best available heat transfer paste, throughout the common surface connecting the light engine to the heat sink.

Since every application is somewhat different, we can not provide heat sink and ventilation design for all customers. However we would like to advise you that the operating temperature of the light source body should be kept below 50¢X C (if possible around 40¢X C), when measured at ambient temperature of 25¢X C.
